What is GSPay Technology?

GSPay stands for Global System Payment, a UPI protocol that works over GSM (mobile network) instead of mobile data or Wi-Fi.

Here’s what makes it powerful:

  • No internet or smartphone required
  • Uses mobile tower connectivity (like SMS or 2G/3G signals)
  • Works even on feature phones
  • Ideal for rural, tribal, and underdeveloped areas

This ensures real-time money transfer even where apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm can’t work due to low network strength.

How to Use PhonePe UPI Without Internet

PhonePe users can now:

  1. Dial *‘99#’ from their registered mobile number
  2. Select “Send Money”
  3. Enter the UPI ID or Mobile Number
  4. Confirm payment with UPI PIN

No internet connection or mobile app is needed. The transaction is verified and processed via NPCI’s UPI Lite infrastructure integrated with GSPay.
